Conversion Testimony
I was born in a small province in the Philippines, raised Catholic by a family rooted in tradition. One holiday in my college years my sister brought with her a message that would alter and challenge our faith. Speaking personally here, as a Catholic I can say I was not a devoted one. My faith is devoid of understanding God what He is and what He wants in my Life. It is due to the fact that there was never a practice of bible reading in our household. We are satisfied to do our religious practices and the understanding that God wants you to be a good person. We just live by knowing God. We are not being led by Him through His words so in effect, we lack a deeper understanding and relationship with our God. What my sister planted in us is the challenge to examine our faith through the lease of the Bible. The Bible reading should become a practice in our life as a believer of Jesus. What I gained in that conversation is your faith should be rooted in God’s word not in tradition. From then on my desire to read the bible became stronger, despite the fact that I’m not a reader I persisted in reading the bible and It eventually led me to learn more about God through the scriptures. Not long after that I gave my life to Jesus. From that moment I made Jesus as my God my Savior and my King.
Cambodia 2024
Our Cambodia Mission trip showed me how God honors your obedience to His call. It was a journey for me from the beginning and fundraising but seeing God just shows His faithfulness fills me with faith and joy in my heart. I am not in anyway well verse about the Bible and ministering for the first time is indeed a challenge. It can make you doubt your ability but experiencing God just use you as a vessel is just astounding to me. When you show you honor Him more than anything He is able to make you His mouth piece.
Miracles are new to my experience. I came with great anticipation and excitement of how God will demonstrate His power and love to His people. I can say I am expectant but have reservations. On our first house visit it was just amazing How God just do what He does He just wants to heal His children bring them wholeness and salvation. Seeing it for the first time was amazing. Realizing that my faith is just a catalyst on its own but together as a group ministering and praying just level up the faith that you have. When believers join hands together and in one expectation for God to show up and touch the person it’s a beautiful thing to see. God honors the faith of everyone in the room.
The biggest take away for me is God will call and touch people that he strategically picked not because they are great and not because they are given miracles but God will look on your heart He will certainly use the one who is willing and will put all His trust in Him. Seeing the man who got healed on the first day in our first house visit got baptized on our last day was just amazing. We are just called to harvest what God has been working on through a lot of people. Seeing that man show up on every event we have walking without paint in His body him testifying about God just amazes me and faith just wells up within me that God is able, willing and indeed touches our soul in its core.
I consider myself an spectator vessel what is in me is just saying yes and from that God have given me a great experience of how His love and mercy works within the hearts of people. I was blessed with a very good team each looking out on each other and being an inspiration to each one. The testimonies and the heart that is revealed on those testimonies are beautiful. Our leaders have taken good care of everyone and together they are such a blessing. How they pour out wisdom and faith all together is just comforting and reassuring for me.
I thank everyone who is involve in the trip and above all I thank God for letting me experience His amazing Love. I felt the fullness of my heart doing ministry with everyone. From the bottom of my heart I thank you all. To God be the all glory and honor.
